![]() ![]() I remember driving there with my dad (who was a bit sceptic about sending strangers money in the hope that they’d send you goods back).Īt some point in time, I think it was 2004, I also decided to keep track of my minis in an Excel sheet. It must have been around 2001-2, so that was before the days of eBay, PayPal and buyer protection. Luckily, I managed to get one second hand, new in blister. It was a nice model, but it didn’t have the actual pumping mechanism that it derives its name from. ![]() Around half a year later, I bought my first addition to that starter army: the 6th edition Snotling Pump Wagon. I started collecting Warhammer back in December 2000 (which just happened to coincide with my 15th birthday) with the Orcs & Goblins Army Deal. But that's just me.(Be advised, bit of an introduction here, feel free to skip the backstory) Thus, for me, the Old Ones are the "ascended" examples of the Old Ones, with the remaining Old Ones being tied to the Great Mages of the Slann. When Grandfather disappears, the Ancients also disappear, leaving only the "devolved" Droyne. What people didn't know within the game setting was that the "Ancients" consisted solely of the "Grandfather" and his progeny, with the other members of their species just being along for the ride. (For those that are unaware, in the Traveller game universe the "Ancients" were a technologically advanced race in the distant past of the game universe. Personally I'm going to stick with the Traveller explanation to "degenerate," conveniently ignoring those specific statements that I don't agree with. It says to use a WHFB Lizardmen army to represent degenerate Old Ones. Sorry but it's explicitly stated in the Necron Codex. ![]()
